Class for New Parents Starting Soon at Johnson Ferry
You are about to bring a new baby home. Are you ready?
For those in the Atlanta area, I would invite you to spread the word on a new class at Johnson Ferry that offers support, guidance and expert advice for first-time moms and dads.
During pregnancy, first-time parents are lavished with gifts and showered with suggestions from experienced mothers and fathers. From childbirth preparation, to breastfeeding basics, to week-by-week instruction on what to expect during pregnancy, classes and literature abound for the expectant couple. But once the highly anticipated baby has arrived, how do new moms and dads transition from pregnancy to parenthood with ease?
Johnson Ferry Baptist Church is pleased to announce the return of New Parenting Basics—a complimentary class for expectant and first-time parents that will educate them on how to parent as a team and divide responsibilities, while building a strong bond between the newborn and each other. Open to the community, the study will be led by experts in marriage, parenting and family relationships. This four-Sunday course will begin on September 11 and end on October 2.
“The New Parenting Basics class will offer practical and encouraging insights to couples expecting their first child. The course will cover everything from hospital expectations to parenting basics. It is an excellent venue for asking questions and creating a community with other couples in a similar life stage,” said Marsha Crowe, Minister to Women at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
Feedback from previous participants indicates the course has been instrumental in preparing first-time moms and dads for the wondrous experience of parenthood. For more information, you can call Elisabeth O’Brien at 678-784-5230, or register online at JohnsonFerry.org.
